Tl*the contact owns a 1992 Isuzu Trooper. The contact noticed oil leaking onto the intake manifold. He noticed the issue when heavy smoke appeared from the engine while driving approximately 55 MPH.

While traveling down a gravel road at 25 MPH, animal came out onto the road, vehicle swerved to the shoulder to aviod it. When vehicle was steered back onto the road, it rolled over at a very low speed.

    1994-07-14Engine and engine cooling94V132000 Constant expansion and contraction of the cylinder head causes the camshaft seal end plug can become dislodged from the cylinder head. This allows oil to leak from the camshaft.

    Remedy: Dealers will install camshaft end seal plug retainer plates.

    2004-05-24Vehicle speed control04V199000 On certain sport utility vehicles, the accelerator cable can stick so that the engine speed will not immediately decrease upon release of the accelerator pedal.

    Remedy: Dealers will replace the throttle cable rubber boot. Owner notification began on May 24, 2004. Owners should contact Isuzu at 1-800-255-6727.
