Remedy: UPON INSPECTION, A COTTER PIN WILL BE INSTALLED IF MISSING AND THE LOCK NUT WILL BE PROPERLY SECURED WITHOUT CHARGE TO OWNER.

DURING A PISTON PIN MANUFACTURING PROCESS, CRACKS HAVE OCCURRED IN THE INNER SURFACE OF THE PIN. THESE CRACKS COULD LEAD TO COMPLETE BREAKAGE OF THE PIN, WHICH IN TURN COULD RESULT IN ENGINE FAILURE A
Remedy: DEALER WILL REPLACE PISTON PINS ON THE INVOLVED VEHICLES AT NO COST TO OWNER.

THE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY MAY DEVELOP CRACKS AT THE WELDED JOINT BETWEEN THE VALVE AND THE VALVE SHAFT. CRACKS MAY ENLARGE WITH CONTINUED USE AND THE VALVE COULD SEPARATE FROM THE SHAFT.
Remedy: DEALER WILL INSTALL A NEW EGR GASKET AND VALVE, IF NECESSARY.
