In December, 2005, I noticed that my engine was knocking. Upon arriving home, I checked the oil. It was bone dry. I had just replaced the oil 4,500 miles before, and checked the oil 3 weeks prior to this problem.

I purchased a 2000 Isuzu trooper in early 2005. It had 32,000 miles on it. At approx 49,000 miles, without warning, my engine started to knock loudly. I pulled over, checked the oil, and it was bone dry. I filled up the oil, and proceeded home.

Brought in my 2000 Isuzu rodeo to a dealership on 01/21/11 due to a safety recall which was issued in oct,2010. Advised that installing the new recall part would be pointless due to rust on the frame of the rodeo.
