We lease 5 Hyundai 2024 Elantra Blue hybrids that were bought new a few months back. We have experienced the same issues with 3 of the 5 so far. Cars will STALL at low speeds and sometimes ENGINE LIGHT goes on.

We have had the car for 2 months and when I went out to start it the other day I noticed a large crack in the lower 1/3 of the windshield, starting at the edge/gasket of the passengers side and spreading horizontally all the way to the drivers side.

The car has an annoying picture of a coffee cup and tells me to consider taking a break followed by annoying beeps. This announcement happens every 5-10 minutes on the expressway regardless of who drives the car and if they are staying in the lanes.

SAFETY TIMELINE
Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Elantra Hybrid vehicles. The hybrid power control unit (HPCU) assembly may overheat.
Remedy: Dealers will update the HPCU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 3, 2026. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 301.
