I HAD ONCE OWN THIS VEHICLE IN WHICH I WAS MAKING PAYMENTS. I HAD SLID ON ICE AND SNOW ONE YEAR AND WENT INTO A DITCH AND HIT A MAIL BOX WHICH WAS ATTACHED TO A POST. THERE WAS DAMAGE UNDERNEATH AS WELL AS A LITTLE DAMAGE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HONDA FIT. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 30 MPH WHEN A VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE CONTACT AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER THREE TIMES AND WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE SPRING ASSEMBLIES IN THE ENGINE IF NECESSARY FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 7, 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009.
