The contact ownED a 2017 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving at 30 MPH, there was an abnormal clicking sound, and the steering wheel locked up, causing her to lose control and crash into an electrical pole.

I WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT WHERE I THEN PROCEEDED TO PARK MY CAR INTO A PARKING SPOT. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND THE CAR CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD. THE CAR ENDED UP HITTING THE BUILDING THAT WAS 2 FEET IN FRONT OF ME.

Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the halfshaft's serial number, replacing it as necessary and aligning the front wheels, free of charge. The recall began December 8, 2017.
