Hello, I own a 2009 cbr 1000RR ABS. I've put over 40,000 miles on the bike since I bought it new in April 2011. The bike performed well until December 2013. I experienced my first crash on that bike.

When approaching a sharp turn my anti-lock brakes malfunctioned. The brake caliper came back almost to my grips and I went past my braking point by several feet. I ended up in the sandy gravel on the side of the road.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 Honda CBR1000RR. While driving at approximately 100 MPH on a race track, the throttle did not operate and the vehicle would not decelerate which resulted in a crash. The contact was injured and the vehicle was destroyed.

2025-01-03Fuel system, gasoline24V864000 Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2007, 2009-2017 CBR600RR, 2008-2017, 2021 CBR1000RR, and 2010, 2012-2013 VFR1200 motorcycles.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel pump module as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 3, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's numbers for this recall are KR2, KR3, KR4 and KR5.
