While driving on i-75 at 65 MPH the car suddenly moved left and the steering became very hard to turn. Then the car moved sharply right and left the roadway and struck the guardrail damasging the right front.

I parked my car in target parking lot.( The car is a manual transmission .) I put the car in neutral and applied the parking brake where I did hear a couple of clicks of engagement of brake.

The Power Steering Light, Traction Light, ABS Light, and Brake Light all came on and would stay on leading me to check the code which was a 121-11 which seems to be a very common issue with the 9th generation Honda Accord.

The abs module failed. It is designed to fail as the wires are super thin. Repair quote was $4,000. The part, I’m sure, is then sent out and fixed cheaply then resold for a premium.

    Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the engine short block, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2015. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.

    2017-11-08Electrical system17V418000 Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Honda Accord vehicles. The case for the battery sensor, part of the battery management system, may allow water to get in, potentially causing an electrical short.

    Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the sensor, free of charge. Dealers will perform an interim remedy of applying adhesive to the case to prevent water intrusion. The recall began November 8, 2017.

    Remedy: Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the fuel injection engine control unit (FI-ECU) software and, if necessary, replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began March 25, 2019.
