THE CAM BEARINGS OF MY 2000 FXDWG [DYNA WIDE GLIDE] DESTROYED THEMSELVES IN KANSAS CITY AND THE BIKE WAS REPAIRED AT HARLEY DAVIDSONS EXPENSE DUE TO POOR ENGINE DESIGN AND A LETTER THAT WAS SENT TO ME TELLING ME OF THE PROBLEM.

ON JANUARY 22,2001 HARLEY-DAVIDSON SENT A LETTER TO CUSTOMERS ALERTING THEM OF A ENGINE CAM BEARING FAILURE PROBLEM. WHEN THIS BEARING GOES BAD IT WILL CAUSE THE ENGINE TO LOCK UP ALSO CAUSING THE REAR WHEEL TO LOCK UP.
