Tl* the contact owns a 2014 GMC Sierra 3500. While driving approximately 60 MPH, the vehicle unintentionally accelerated without warning. In addition, while driving 25 MPH, the vehicle accelerated unintentionally when the brake pedal was depressed.

CP4 High Pressure Fuel Pump failed/disintegrated causing metal shavings to be pumped through out the fuel lines, injectors and connected systems requiring a replacement of the pump, injector and fuel lines totaling over $11,000 in repairs.

Got a recall on December 15, 2017 about the second gas tank issue. Advised not to fill the second tank because it cause the front tank to expand, rub the drive shaft, and cause a leak and possible fire.

2017-12-11Fuel system, gasoline17V664000 General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2011-2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 and GMC Sierra 3500 trucks equipped with dual fuel tanks. The low fuel level sensor for the front tank may stick causing the rear tank to overfill the front tank.
Remedy: GM has notified owners, and dealers will replace the rear tank fuel pump or update the fuel-level sensor software, as well as inspect the front tank, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2017.
