On April 4, 2006 at approx. 5:00PM our 1999 Denali GMC caught fire and was destroyed. It started to lose power and then immediately burst into flames and was a total loss.

The consumer is concerned while traveling on the highway without prior warning the vehicle stalled. He was able to pull over and lift the hood up and noticed that battery acid had exploded from the battery.

    2000-12-29Seat belts00V122000 Vehicle description: light duty pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles. These vehicles do not comply with the occupant protection requirements of FMVSS No. 208, "Occupant crash protection."

    Remedy: Dealers will install a tray insert on the top of the passenger side of the instrument panel. The tray insert corrects the noncompliance.
