The contact owns a 2026 Genesis GV70. The contact stated that while driving 14 MPH, the brakes independently engaged, causing the contactâs head to hit the driverâs side door/window area, sustaining an injury to the head.

Day after purchasing gv70, upon starting vehicle, the brake pedal went all the way down to the floor. After taking foot off brake and reapplying foot pressure, the pedal responded accurately and I started the car.

2025-12-29Air bags25V809000 Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2025 Tucson, 2025-2026 Santa Cruz, Santa Fe, Santa Fe Hybrid, and 2026 Genesis GV70 vehicles.
Remedy: Dealers will reinstall the side curtain air bags, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 29, 2025. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's numbers for this recall are 289 and 029G.

2026-02-17Electrical system26V019000 Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain Genesis 2025-2026 G80, GV80, 2026 G80 "Electrified," GV60, GV70 "Electrified" and GV70 vehicles. Due to a software error, the instrument panel display may fail.
Remedy: Owners are advised to disable the high definition (HD) radio feature until the recall remedy has been performed. The audio video navigation software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or inspected and updated by a dealer, free of charge.

Date not on fileFuel system, gasoline26V229000 Hyundai Motor America (Genesis) is recalling certain Genesis 2022-2026 GV70, 2023-2025 G90, 2021-2025 G80, and GV80 vehicles. Fuel may leak at the pipe connection between the fuel pipe and fuel rail.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and tighten, or replace the fuel pipe as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk mailed June 3, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy becomes available.
