I have a 2015 F-150. Early January 2026 I was traveling about 60 mph when my back wheels locked up, while the vehicle was skidding i swiped a guardrail but was able to pull the steering away as to not cause more damage.

FRONT SEAT BACK COOLING SYSTEM (TED) IS MALFUNCTIONING. WHEN SEAT COOLING IS SELECTED, AFTER 30 MINUETS, THE BACK OF THE FRONT SEATS REACH EXTREME TEMPERATURES, RESULTING IN BURNING EVERYONE THAT TOUCHES THE BACK OF THE FRONT SEATS.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford F-150 vehicles manufactured January 30, 2015, to January 31, 2015. The affected vehicles may have loose or missing underbody heat shields.

Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicle for missing underbody heat shields and fasteners, and will install the missing components as required, free of charge. The recall began on May 13, 2015.

Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seat belt assembly, replacing the attaching rivet as necessary, free of charge. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk were mailed October 18, 2017.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2017 F-150 vehicles. A loss of signal between the transmission range sensor and the powertrain control module can cause the transmission to unexpectedly downshift into second gear.

Remedy: Dealers will update the powertrain control module software, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed May 1, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated in July 2026.
