Went to press on the brakes to not hit an animal and yellow ABS light illuminates,red brake light illuminates, and "Service brake system" Message appeared and the car just slid.

The ABS light goes on and I have minimum brakes. When ABS and brake light goes on I have almost no brakes and I end up skidding when stopping. I have have multiple near misses and burned rubber trying to stop.

2007 Ford Escape Hybrid. Consumer states vehicle caught fire while driving *tgw the consumer stated smoke began to enter the vehicle from under the dash on the passenger side. Minutes the later, the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames.
