WHILE USING A COMPANY PROVIDED 15 PASSAGER EXPANDED DODGE VAN FOR CAR POOLING, REAR TIRE EXPLODED. FORCE OF EXPLODING TIRE OR FRAGMENTS SHEARED OFF NECK OF FUEL TANK FILL TUBE LOCATED JUST AFT OF THE LEFT REAR TIRE.

SAFETY TIMELINE
THE PARKING BRAKE CABLE IS ROUTED TO THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL CAUSING IT TO CROSS AND CONTACT THE STEEL BRAKE LINE. THIS CAN CAUSE THE ABRASION AND RUPTURE OF THE STEEL BRAKE LINE RESULTING IN A LOSS OF B
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REROUTE THE PARKING BRAKE CABLE AWAY FROM THE STEEL BRAKE LINE. THE STEEL BRAKE LINE WILL BE REPLACED IF ABRASION OR WEAR IS EVIDENT.
