On December 15, 2025, while driving my 2008 Chrysler Sebring in Indianapolis, Indiana, I noticed smoke coming from the driver’s side near the battery.

While driving the check engine light came on and the engine stalled. When tested the engine code came back as electrical short. The dealership where I purchased the car did not fix the problem but cleared the engine code.

On the date mentioned, I was driving an enterprise rental car, 2008 Chrysler Sebring lx, from Idaho falls, id to salt lake city, ut. I was traveling appx. 73-75MPH with the cruise control set for the last 50 miles.
