MY 2007 NEW TRAILBLAZER STARTED ON FIRE WHILE IT WAS OFF AND PARKED FOR OVER 12 HOURS IN MAY OF 2008. AFTER 2 AND 1/2 MONTHS OF NOT HAVING MY TRUCK IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT.

WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE IT STARTED PRODUCING A LIGHT SMOKE THROUGH DEFROST VENT ON PASSENGER SIDE. I STOPPED AND OPENED THE HOOD TO SEE IF SOMETHING WAS ON FIRE IN THE ENGINE AREA AND THERE WAS NOT.

HAD RECALL REPAIRED AT DEALER. CAR CAUGHT FIRE DOOR PANEL SWITCHES. REPAIR HAS NOW FAILED AGAIN 12/23/2019. THE PREVIOUS INCIDENT, WIRES WERE BURNING IN THE DOOR PANEL. DOOR LOCKS AND LIGHT WERE OPERATING ERRATICALLY.
