Yesterday on 4/10/2014 at 2:00PM I get into my 2007 chevy silverado 1500 classic crew cab and start my truck. I notice that once I let go of the get it never returned to the on position from run/start position.

At slow speed the power steering fails. This failure is sporadic, but does happen often. The steering wheel becomes as hard to turn as when the engine is off with no power boost at all. This is dangerous as the only option is to stop abruptly.
