We have been driving the new GM Chevy 2024 Equinox EV for a few days (only 74 miles so far) and it has been great but wanted to report a safety concern with the design of the front dash board and curvature/angle of the windshield. It is as follows.

I was in a parking lot and parking at an EV charger. As I attempted the brake, the vehicle did not respond, so I tried to pump the brake and still no response. It eventually made contact with the barrier in front of the charger.

2025-11-17Forward collision avoidance25V639000 General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV vehicles. The pedestrian alert sound system may not produce a sufficient change in volume between the vehicle being stopped and moving at low speeds.
Remedy: The vehicle's body control module software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 17, 2025.
