FUEL PUMP FAILS WITHOUT WARNING RESULTING IN REPLACEMENT COSTS OF $1,000. FAILURE OCCURRED ON SAN BERNARDINO FWY AND WAS NEARLY STRUCK SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE CHP ARRIVED TO DIVERT TRAFFIC. *JB

MISFIRE ON ALL CYLS DID NOT PASS EMISSIONS INSPECTION TEST. FACTORY BULLETIN SAYS THAT WATER FROM DEFECTIVE CHECKVALVE ON VAPOR CANISTOR WILL CONTAMINATE FUEL RAIL CAUSING EMISSIONS SYSTEM FAILURE.
