PARKING BRAKE FAILED TO DISENGAGE AFTER BEING PARKED IN A PARKING LOT. RESET AND DISENGAGED AFTER A THREE HOUR PERIOD. THIS THE SECOND TIME THIS OCCURS. MODULE HAS BEEN REPLACED ONE YEAR AGO AND NOW THE SECOND MODULE IS FAILING.

While driving on a straight stretch of highway at posted highway speeds of 75mph, no additional acceleration, torque, turning, or high rpms, my bike experienced a sudden jolt and immediate loss of propulsion.

Gear shift paddle will not respond when manually down shifting. Sometimes, I have to pull hard on the lever 3 or 4 times to get it to down shift. Sometimes it simply won’t manually change gears.

SAFETY TIMELINE

R 20220526 — power train

Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Can-Am Spyder F3 and RT motorcycles. The front sprocket may be defective and prematurely wear, resulting in a loss of drive power.

Remedy: Dealers will perform an interim repair until parts become available. Once parts are available, the front sprocket will be replaced, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 26, 2022.

Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Can-Am Spyder F3 and RT motorcycles. The engine output shaft may fatigue and break, resulting in a loss of drive power.

Remedy: The output shaft will be replaced based on the mileage of the vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed February 5, 2025. Owners may contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222.
