I PLUGGED MY CELL PHONE INTO THE CAR CHARGER IN THE FRONT CONSOLE. WHEN I RETURNED TO THE CAR AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES, IT WAS FILLED WITH SMOKE THAT WAS COMING OUT OF THE CAR CHARGER. I IMMEDIATELY UNPLUGGED THE CHARGER.

2006 BUICK RENDEZVOUS HAS MASSIVE FUEL LEAK ON FUEL SUPPLY LINE LEADING FROM TANK TO INJECTORS. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL AND YEAR DUE TO THE HEAT SHIELD WRAP INSTALLED BY MANUFACTURER.

CERTAIN VEHICLES ORIGINALLY BUILT WITH CLOTH SEATS THAT WERE EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC AIR BAG PASSENGER SENSING SYSTEM AND LATER REUPHOLSTERED WITH AFTERMARKET LEATHER SEAT COVER KITS ARE INVOLVED.

Remedy: BECAUSE A REPLACEMENT LEATHER SEAT COVER THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE PASSENGER SENSING SYSTEM IS NOT AVAILABLE, GENERAL MOTORS (GM) WILL REPURCHASE THESE VEHICLES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS STATED I
