The oil filter housing is now made of plastic. It was in the past made of metal. Being it is now made of plastics it is now exposed to possibility of cracking due to changes in temperature hot and cold.

I just got my car 3 days ago. Mileage is 275 miles. My rear brakes disc already have circles in it as if it is worn out by a piece of metal grinding against it. This has never ever happened on any of my previous bmws.
