THE THROTTLE CABLE'S TUBE (OUTER CASING) CONTAINS A BEND THAT LEADS TO INCREASED LOADING OF THE INNER CABLE, CAUSING IT TO BREAK.

Remedy: BMW DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE THROTTLE CABLE.
